CARNE WORLD TOUR, Steve Turner Gallery, Los Angeles
A wallpaper is a surface used to cover and decorate the interior walls of homes, offices, cafes, government buildings, museums, post offices, among others; it is one aspect of interior decoration. Also a wallpaper is understood immaterially; a digital image used as a decorative background of a graphical user interface on the screen of a computer, mobile communications device or other electronic device.
It could be argued that the purpose of this superficial exercise is like that of parietal art and other periods of prehistoric art; ritual and undetermined. Some theories suggest that these paintings were not solely for decoration as many of them were located in parts of caves that were not easily accessed or were not used for living purposes.
In this intervention I decorate the walls of this institution and its architecture. Augmenting it with that which haunts and debris the internet, which is nothing, a sign in between, a throbber.
