The decisions made to enable the situation, spaces or art institutions in turn reveal a series of expectations, conventions, symbols, which tend towards normalization and standardization. In our immediate context this has been, until very recently and with variations in scale (warehouses, mansions, houses, apartments, etc) in the adaptation of domestic or commercial contexts in art spaces. The operation is always the same: reduce ornaments, neutralize the space with white paint, block the windows to have more walls, installing artificial light. As in the standardization process, this standardization occurs somewhere between the combination or the sense of the typical and the ideal, it is a mixture of statistics and moral notions, which is a hardwired cognitive tendency in our body, buried deep in our past. And, although we are quite overprotective of the concept of normal, lets not forget that at some point nothing was normal, everything was new.
